The Percherska Lavra, a short trolley ride from downtown, has two 11th-century cathedrals on its territory, along with its well-known catacombs, a bell tower, and museum collections. Nearby the center of city you can see the Golden Gate dating back to 1037. Theatergoers will find much to select from here. Most plays are in Ukrainian or Russian.
